This compact desktop switch with Power-over-Ethernet support and energy-saving features is ideal for use in small offices or in the home office.

Gigabit connection for home The DGS-1008P has eight gigabit LAN ports and, with speeds of up to 2000Mbit/s (full duplex) and flow control, ensures fast, continuous data transfers.
Thanks to its fanless design, it works silently and can be set up directly at the workplace.

Cable diagnosis function
The DGS-1008P is equipped with a cable diagnosis function so that cable breaks and short circuits can be identified and rectified particularly easily. It automatically checks all connected network cables and signals errors via its LEDs on the front of the housing.

The green switch
With the integrated D-Link Green technology, power consumption and thus operating costs are significantly reduced – without sacrificing performance and functionality.

Flexible with Power over Ethernet
Four ports of the DGS-1008P support Power over Ethernet. In this way, compatible end devices (e.g. IP cameras, access points) can be optimally positioned independently of power sources. The switch supplies these with power and data at the same time via a Cat. 5 network cabling. In the event of an unexpected overvoltage, a mechanism interrupts the power supply, protecting both the switch and the end devices.
